Who you are
NGOs, foundations and carbon funds
“I must demonstrate impact, with a project's resources.”
Your mandate
What you answer for
Environmental and development NGOs, carbon projects
You exist to produce an effect where neither the state nor the market has produced one, and to account for it to those who fund you. Your constraint is twofold: demonstrating impact with a project's resources, and leaving behind skills the project requires you to transfer.
You operate under a logical framework and under budget constraint. You need impact evidence your funder will accept, and internal skills the project requires you to leave behind. The amounts are smaller than those of a state programme; the rigour expected is not.
What your organisation is made of
- Environmental NGOs — conservation, protected areas, forests
- Development NGOs — water, health, rural infrastructure
- Foundations and carbon funds
- Universities, research institutes and think tanks
Your constraints
How your decision is actually made
This is what most providers ignore, and it is what makes assignments fail.
Who decides
A programme director, constrained by the logical framework approved by your funder. The logical framework decides as much as you do.
Where the money comes from
A funder, on a budget line already settled. The amounts are smaller than those of a state programme; the rigour expected is not.
What timetable
Three to twelve months, paced by your project's reporting deadlines.
Our role
What ODT does for you
- We certify your reforestation campaigns: survival rate, mortality, multi-year growth, across large areas.
- We quantify biomass and build the measurement, reporting and verification file the standards require.
- We produce the located and dated impact evidence your funder will accept.
- We train your teams on geospatial tools — often the best starting point, and the least expensive.
- We assess, after the fact, the territorial dynamics your programme actually produced.
What we will not do
- We do not set up a carbon project whose area cannot absorb the fixed registry costs. We will tell you beforehand.
- We do not produce an impact assessment whose conclusion is written in advance.
- We do not leave you with a tool nobody in your organisation can keep alive.

Inexpensive, immediately useful, and grounded in your own data. It builds the relationship, it makes you self-sufficient for everyday use, and it lets you judge our level before any heavier commitment.

“We are told our forest is worth credits. We do not know how to prove it to the required standards.”
Taking back control of our own data
“We depend on an outside provider to read our own data, and the platform dies when the project ends.”
