What is happening

Your situation

Your municipality, your region or your project runs into the same wall: actual land occupation is neither mapped nor documented. Use conflicts are settled case by case, the local tax base stays invisible, and any investor who comes forward leaves for lack of guarantees on the site offered.

What you risk

  • A territory whose land tenure is unknown can neither tax, nor plan, nor attract secured investment.
  • Land tenure constraints are explicitly among the causes of stalled disbursement on funded projects in Cameroon.
  • Latent land disputes surface at the worst possible moment: when the site opens.

Our answer

What we do

We build the cadastral base that is missing. Precision GNSS RTK surveys, socio-tenure enquiries conducted with traditional and administrative authorities, an exhaustive inventory of occupations and claimed rights, technical mediation of latent disputes, and a digital land database carrying legal and social attributes — ready for official registration.

In the Central African context

A local authority rarely pays for a cadastral operation itself, and we know it. Funding comes from a national programme, a development partner or a decentralisation fund. Our first piece of work with a municipality is therefore not to sell you a service: it is to profile your territory from the public data in our Observatory, free of charge, and to identify with you the programme that can fund the operation.

What you receive

Deliverables

Things delivered, not intentions.

  • Digital and paper cadastral plans, georeferenced to the centimetre
  • Digital land database with legal and social attributes
  • Land expertise reports and boundary-marking records
  • Mapping of overlapping rights
  • Registers the local authority can consult

Recommended first step: A pilot operation on one neighbourhood or village, establishing the method before covering the territory.
