Call for expressions of interest: the municipalities that will host the demonstrators will be chosen on published criteria.

Selection criteria

1Commitment of the executive
The mayor or the regional executive sponsors the application and accepts data-driven governance and oversight through technical clearance.
2Economic potential
Real resources, value chains and outlets, identifiable from the data available.
3Accessibility and safety
A territory accessible from Yaoundé, where teams can work safely.
4Presence of partners
Actors already active on the ground: programmes, businesses, training centres, local organisations.
5Diversity of models
The five demonstrators show different models. An application is also selected for the model it makes it possible to demonstrate.

Before opening
The criteria grid and the application file are published. No date is announced until the form has been tested on a slow network.
Three weeks to apply
The file is simple: commune, region, executive and contact, value chains, development plan, partners, motivation. An application is not a financial commitment.
After closing
Applications are examined against the published grid. Each commune receives a reply. Selected communes are announced once their written agreement has been obtained.
